EyeBox

What is EyeBox?

EyeBox Concussion Testing

Developed by Oculogica, is an FDA-cleared, baseline-free eye-tracking device that aids in the diagnosis and management of concussions by objectively measuring abnormalities in eye movements.

Concussions can disrupt cranial nerves controlling eye movements, causing subtle changes often undetectable by standard imaging. The EyeBox captures these through advanced tracking during a short video stimulus, delivering immediate objective data including a BOX Score (0–20) and detailed metrics.

Key features of EyeBox testing include:

EyeBox is used in two primary ways:

  1. Acute/Post-Injury Assessment — Administered soon after a suspected concussion to aid in diagnosis (ideally within 1 week of injury).
  2. Recovery Monitoring — Compares results to normative data to track progress, guide therapy, and inform return-to-activity decisions.

The test is not a standalone diagnostic but an essential objective tool within a comprehensive evaluation, alongside symptom review, cognitive testing, and clinical judgment.
