Scoliosis is defined as a sideways curvature of the spine. Data has shown that 2-4% of adolescents, 12-20% of adults, and about 68% of adults over 60 years old suffer from it. Scoliosis commonly causes pain into the neck and back depending on where the scoliosis is and can create significant postural changes depending on how large the curve is and where it is located.
