Throughout the spine are discs which provide shock absorption, attachment points for other parts of the body, among other important functions. The discs are delicate structures and can easily be damaged from biomechanical faults or from normal every day accidents like falls, car accidents, sports activities, etc. There are different levels of disc injury and depending on the severity of the disc injury will determine how bad the pain and symptoms you are having.
